Local Authority Benefits

There are various benefits for local authorities who encourage their schools to become involved in this project.

These include:

  • The ability to collect data specific to age, gender, school and location
  • Excellent support towards completing SEF, Ofsted, Healthy Schools and Award Enhanced Status
  • Contributing to LA Children and Young People’s Plan including certain national indicator targets
  • Real time information on where high or low figures exist compared to other schools in the area
  • Contributing to ECM Agenda
  • The opportunity to assess findings against real time national data per age, gender and location
  • Choice of questioning to suit priority areas – e.g. Teen Pregnancy, smoking etc
  • The tools to actively market the Social Norms message, using a series of accessible positive Intervention tools
  • Community Cohesion and Media Links
  • Reduced staffing and resourcing time compared to previous methods
  • Environmentally friendly methods
